Interior design and entire interior fittings for an innovative hostel project of the German Youth Hostel Association (Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk)
The requirement was defined by the customer: a youth hostel that offers the comfort of a hotel in various sectors. Sauna and conference room with a mountain view, shop and bar in the reception area. At the same time: an ambience, offbeat and contemporary, that adapts the idea of a youth hotel for the Bavarian mountain world. Hence, there are numerous wall motives in the rooms illustrating popular sports by several brand ambassadors that represent the house. The furnishing is plain and the materials used unmistakably youth hostel, yet high-class processed and sophisticatedly treated, with many functional and artistic details. Throughout the whole house, guests can find regional themes and items: traditional furniture coated with new colors, bicycle, snowboard, climbing rope and gondola, map of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area as wallpaper and many more.
